Haddenham Church

Haddenham Church in Buckinghamshire has a lot of churches for different religious faiths such as Anglican, Baptist and Methodist. It is regular for a town to have more than one church and Haddenham is no exception.

Sadly church attendance has been dipping for the last fifty years in the United Kingdom, with 15% of the population presiding at least once per month, nevertheless Atheists and Agnostics are still in a minority, representing 33% of the residents.

We think the grounds for the decline is simply that people don't believe in God any more, with wars raging across the world and the economy in a bad way it's straightforward to understand peoples lack of faith. In our opinion the Church needs to be re-branded, if you think of the core values of Church such as togetherness, family, marriage and community leaving aside God for a second! If you contemplate on all the good things that Churches stand for in our Haddenham community then it's really amazing figures are going down. Surely we all want our Haddenham to be a fantastic location to live, where people get along, they assist one another in times of need and people give to each other without asking anything back in return. So what we are asking is for you to go along to your Haddenham church and make a request change, you want to assist, and you think it's only right and proper that the rest of your community chip in and help with things. The UK is on its knees because hardly anybody desires to work to a superior goal...it is time for change...come on people..let us get together and make this happen

Churches in the past and future have collaborated with other organisations such as native schools, groups such as the beavers, cubs and scouts as well as being prominent in assisting other groups of people such as the lonely, impoverished and abused. The church is seen as doing good causes which sees them in a good light.

Churches have been seen in a dim light of late with the pope resigning, the first pope in more than six hundred years, and nobody was entirely sure of the reason why, various people have speculated that it is not just a matter of the pope getting older and not being able to carry out his job to the fullest.

The scottish Cardinal Keith O'Brien in recent times resigned after admitting sexually inappropriate moves to young men training to be priests, considering his anti-gay words in the past, this was seen as "do as I say not as I do"!

On the lighter side of things churches are seen as a very quiet place to be - a good place to reflect on the things that are happening in your life at the present moment.

A game we used to play as kids was to find the oldest memorial..i.e. the earliest date, that is a game that can keep children pleased for a while as well as giving them good exercise as they walk/run round the graveyard.
